Rebecca is a part-time Veterinarian at Town and Country Vet and works with small animals. Rebecca enjoys the variation in general practice and building up pet/client relationships. She is especially interested in surgery and medicine, and the use of diagnostic imaging in the work up of cases.
Rebecca offers a cheerful, friendly service for our customers and their animals.
Rebecca grew up Fife, Scotland. She had always grown up with animals, as her grandparents had a small holding with everything from ducklings to goats and horses. Her Grandma suggested she go do some work experience during high school and she never looked back.
Rebecca qualified from The Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies in 2013. After graduation she worked in mixed practice for 15 months before moving onto solely small animal work.
Rebecca and her partner came to New Zealand in 2016 after 6 months of travelling, and having only planned to stay for a year, they are now becoming residents!
She joined Town and Country Vet the end of 2016.
If you really want to see Rebecca in her element, In her spare time she can be found enjoying the Nelson outdoors, whether it be out on the water or hiking up the hills. She recently adopted her very cute puppy, Fyfe.
