Brenda grew up in Wellington. Her dream to become a vet started simply because she loved animals and James Herriot books, She loved holidays on her uncle’s farm, loved being outside getting dirty and never wanted a job that she had to dress up for!
After a good few years of hard studying at Massey University, she worked in Gore then moved to work as a small animal vet for 7 years in the UK.
Brenda moved to NZ with her husband to raise a family and ended up in Nelson after her husband got a job here. She joined Town and Country Vet in 2007.
If you really want to see Brenda in her element, she spends her free time running or at the gym. She enjoys mountain biking, snowboarding and traveling the country in their families campervan. Aside from her fitness lifestyle, Brenda’s remaining time is with her family, out on the football fields with her 3 kids and dog Rocky, she also has two cats at home too which take up much of her time.
