We have an extensive range of equipment to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of your pet.
We have a broad range of equipment to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of your pet. We have recently purchased a new range of in-house tools that allow us to run more detailed analysis in-house and get results back to you regarding your pets health much quicker!
We offer pre-anaesthetic blood screening for all animals, and ideally would screen all pets over the age of 7 years to ensure their organs are functioning well and able to handle the anaesthetic agents and surgical procedures. Sometimes its hard to know when your pet might be ill as they can be good at disguising their illnesses. Here is a useful information sheet on Preventative Health Care and Your Pet.
We also offer routine urinalysis tests, microscope exams of skin scrapings, cytology (cell analysis), and also send many samples to Veterinary Pathology Laboratorys’ for more in-depth analysis if required.
X-rays & Ultrasounds
We offer in-clinic x-rays and ultrasounds to aid in the diagnosis of your pet. We also take x-rays in the field for equine diagnostics.
As of 2015 we also have a new Digital X-Ray machine allowing us to take much higher-quality x-rays not only in the clinic but it is also mobile so can be taken into the field with our equine vets.
